Your responsibilities

As Senior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial administration and reporting. You will work closely with colleagues across departments and support management with reliable financial insights and analyses. This role offers a combination of operational responsibility, analytical work, and process improvement within a professional and fast-paced environment. 

Your responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain accurate general ledger administration.
• Prepare and process journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and management information.
• Analyze financial data, variances, and business performance.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Contribute to improving financial procedures and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within General Ledger accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and automated financial processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• A proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Experience working in an international or multicultural environment is considered a plus.
