Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity Plans and Crisis Management Plans across all business units.
- Ensure continuity and crisis frameworks, policies, and standards are consistently applied and aligned with regulatory and internal requirements.
- Oversee plan quality, identify gaps, and coordinate corrective actions to strengthen operational resilience and recovery capability.
- Manage crisis and continuity systems and tools, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, user access, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate and oversee crisis and continuity exercises, simulations, and testing activities, including scenario development, execution, evaluation, and follow-up actions.
- Support crisis response activities by coordinating escalation, communication, and operational support during disruptions or critical incidents.
- Lead the collection, validation, and maintenance of regulatory and audit evidence related to crisis and continuity compliance.
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen resilience.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance, training, and support to business units and stakeholders across the organization.
- Prepare dashboards, reports, and management information to support decision-making, compliance monitoring, and performance tracking.
- Manage governance, documentation, budgets, and vendor-related activities, ensuring audit readiness and operational effectiveness.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree required; certification in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, or Operational Resilience is preferred; Project Management certification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Risk Management, Operations, or a related field, preferably within a financial or highly regulated environment.
- Proven experience in continuity planning, crisis coordination, incident response, audits, and resilience programs.
- Strong understanding of Business Continuity, Crisis Management, and operational resilience principles, including regulatory requirements, audit processes, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with BCM/IM tools, reporting systems, and governance processes is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to guide stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority.
- Calm, structured, and decisive approach during crises, incidents, and time-sensitive situations.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and discretion.
- Fluent in English, Dutch, and Papiamentu (written and spoken); Spanish is an advantage.
- Willingness to support crisis situations, exercises, and critical operational events outside normal working hours when required.
- Flexibility to operate in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder, and regulated environment with rapidly changing priorities.
