Our client, a trusted financial institution with growing presence across international markets is looking for an experienced Compliance Manager with a strong background in financial regulations and risk management to join their dynamic team.

 

Functie omschrijving

The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the organization operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and advising management on potential areas of compliance vulnerability. The Compliance Manager also plays a key role in fostering an ethical culture and promoting a high standard of integrity across the organization.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of Compliance Officers, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s compliance programs and internal controls.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures.
• Advise senior management on compliance issues, potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Oversee and deliver compliance training to employees across the organization.
• Coordinate with legal, risk, audit, and operational teams to ensure cohesive compliance efforts.
• Handle internal investigations and interface with regulatory bodies as necessary.
• Foster a culture of compliance, ethics, and transparency throughout the organization.

Functie eisen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Compliance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience working with regulators or in regulated industries is a strong advantage.
