For our client in the banking sector, we are looking for a results-driven and resilient Adjustor (Collections Specialist).

Job description
As an Adjustor, you are responsible for maximizing collection recoveries on retail lending accounts while minimizing collection costs and loan losses by identifying and mitigating risks in a timely manner. You monitor delinquent accounts and take effective action in line with established policies and procedures.
Your responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned portfolio of delinquent retail lending accounts.
- Identifying potential risks early and preventing further escalation.
- Contacting customers to resolve arrears through appropriate payment arrangements (restructuring, consolidation, extensions, or re-aging where applicable).
- Accurately documenting all customer interactions and agreements in the relevant systems.
- Preparing files and recommendations for transfer to the Legal department when required.
- Conducting full customer exposure analyses before proposing solutions.
- Identifying trends and developments that may impact portfolio performance.
- Ensuring a professional and consistent customer experience in line with internal standards.
You will work closely with internal departments such as Credit, Legal, and Administration to ensure effective and compliant account handling.
Job requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent.
- Additional training such as basic banking knowledge (e.g., NIBE), communication and negotiation skills (preferred).
- At least 2–4 years of banking experience, preferably within collections.
- Thorough knowledge of retail lending products and collection procedures.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- High integrity, accuracy, and stress resilience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with banking systems and MS Office.
- You are customer-focused while maintaining a strong awareness of the Bank’s risk position and objectives.
