For our international client, we are looking for a hands-on Operations Coordinator for their office on Curaçao.

Job description

In the role of Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the operations, distribution, and sales management of retail customers on Curaçao. This includes managing relationships with customers, overseeing inventory and distribution, and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth, ensuring customer satisfaction through service excellence and operational discipline.

Your responsibilities consist of:

  • Keeps safety procedures and processes in place.
  • Promote a collaborative and accountable environment in order to enhance teams motivation and productivity. Meet the assigned monthly sales target through new and existing customers.
  • Prospect and capitalize sales of the products with new and recovered customers.
  • Reviews and coordinate daily production and product deliveries.
  • Maintains and prepares in advance adequate inventory of products based on what is required daily by customers.
  • Establishes standards for work effort and performance among the production team, distribution team and retail team.
  • Daily management of delivery of the products.
  • Reviews back-order report daily.
  • Ensure good maintenance of facilities, installations, and related equipment.
  • Contribute to the company’s productivity initiatives by finding and implementing cost reduction/lean/six sigma projects and ideas.
  • Complies with the Departments reports and other required information.
  • Acts and promotes operational discipline and excellence according to security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensures correct implementation of credit and collections, administration and finance procedures in terms of delivery the necessary documents.

Job requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 2 years working in an industrial environment in a lead position, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, basic sales and inventory management software.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong time management and organization skills.
  • Lead by example and promote a collaborative and accountable environment.
  • Physically fit, able to lift heavier products if required.
  • Good command of English, Dutch and Papiamentu in word and writing. Spanish is a plus.
