For one of our clients, active in the financial industry, we are looking for a passionate Insurance Team Leader. As an Insurance Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing expert operational support to all insurance departments across various islands in the Dutch Caribbean. Your main responsibility will be to develop, evaluate, and redesign internal processes to achieve optimal operational efficiency, cost savings, and enhanced customer service.

Job description

As the Insurance Team Leader, your vital role involves providing expert operational support to insurance departments on various Dutch Caribbean islands. 

Your core responsibilities will be: 

  • Responsible for the supervision of Insurance Operations and Commercial Sales & Service department, ensuring adherence to internal processes and quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between Commercial Sales & Service and Insurance Operations, ensuring timely and high-quality service to commercial customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor collaborative activities with external partners to achieve operational goals.
  • Establish and monitor procedures and quality standards, recommending process improvements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining KYC/CFT and compliance procedures.
  • Oversee subordinates, ensuring compliance with policies, handling customer needs satisfactorily.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to subordinates in the Human Resources management process.
  • Request training and information on existing and new products for staff.
  • Maintain records of customer complaints and follow-up actions.
  • Report fraudulent activity following the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering Guidelines.

Job requirements

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational level.
  • Assurantie B or equivalent certification.
  • Proficient in computer usage, including a deep understanding of specific automated insurance administration systems. As well as an advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in insurance administration and operations, with a demonstrated affinity for the industry.
  • Completed supervisory training and an Office Management Course.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Dutch.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Skilled in building strategic relationships and coaching talent.
  • Result-oriented with a focus on achieving objectives.
